Existence of Business and Social Entrepreneurship
Creativity and great innovation are required to establish a company. It is quite visible that nowadays youngsters as well as experienced professionals are pretty active and looking forward to set-up their own firms. The establishment of a company, be it big or small, domestic or international, is only possible under efficient guidance and optimisation of financial resources. To suffice this purpose, every company has an entrepreneur that identifies the resources and risks involved in starting a venture. This person primarily occupies an important designation in the company and looks after all the present and future aspects. The entire process of identifying risks, utilising resources and pursuing the opportunities is known as Entrepreneurship.
Being an entrepreneur, it is important for one to improvise its skills and confidently stick to them, believing that 'I can do this task'. To start the business in a substantial way, one has to make the most of his knowledge and the opportunities prevailing around. It is a tricky, intelligent and tough job for an entrepreneur to recognise all the inputs available and to produce the maximum amount of profit from that. Everyone must have heard of Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Mark Zuckerberg and Oprah Winfrey, which are some of the biggest entrepreneurs of current times. There is no doubt that India has extreme potential in reference to innovation and creativity that can lead to the existence of great entrepreneurs. Lakshmi Mittal, Azim Premji, Dhirubai Ambani, Jamsetji Tata and Narayana Murthy are some of the biggest entrepreneurs that India has produced. Their struggle, hard work, character and success stories are evident to everyone. Each of them started with a small dream of serving the needs of public that ended up in providing them with great profit and brilliant outcomes.
Besides a private firm, a mass volume of people are seen pursuing social entrepreneurship. It is done for social issues and finding solutions for them using inventive and prolific ideas and methods. Social entrepreneurs play an important role in sustaining social values and solving other such problems. Unlike business entrepreneurs, who focus on profit and outputs, these entrepreneurs work voluntarily and offer a positive return to society. They emphasis on solving social issues, without looking for profit returns and other outcomes. In previous times, close to the 1950s, Michael Young was one of the leading promoters for this service and was declared the 'most successful entrepreneur of social enterprises'.
All are familiar with the names of Vinoba Bhave, David Brower, Maria Montessori and Florence Nightingale, which are some of the most prestigious social entrepreneurs. They have done tremendous work in their respective fields of social services, sufficing the required needs of the general public.
