A List of Entrepreneurs

The old saying, "Youth is often wasted on the young", doesn't apply to the following group of ambitious and innovative individuals. We all know of Mark Zuckerberg and his 13 billion dollar net worth thanks to his creation of Facebook, but what about the other successful scamps who may not have had a movie made based on their struggle to the top? They get the next best thing, an article written by yours truly.

A List of Entrepreneurs

 5) First on our list is Mr. Moziah Bridges

At the age of 12 he is the CEO of Mo's Bows, a company created with the help from his mother and grandmother. Mo's Bows specializes in Fashionably Unique Bow Ties and has earned $150,000 in sales according to business insider. Mo has been featured on shows like Shark Tank and has been interviewed on CNBC. He shows his knowledge of the industry when he explained that he wishes to remain in the accessory side of fission because that's what is selling today. He has five employees two of them being his mother and grandmother who support his entrepreneurial efforts. And if that wasn't enough he has partnered with Shark Tank Investor and fission industry entrepreneur Daymond John to mentor him in operating his business.

 4) Dom Hofmann (27), Rus Yusupov (29), and Colin Kroll (29)

are the makers of the trendy smartphone app Vine. Vine allows its users to capture six seconds of continually looped video and share it with the world. This group of friends has created more then just a simple place for people to share funny video clips, they have created a new outlet for people to showcase creativity. With 13 billion users, vine has become an innovative advertising platform, were companies can pay users with large followings to promote their products. The group sold their creation to twitter in October of 2012 for $30 million. Until recently the group still held high positions within the company, however Dom recently stepped down from his lead general manager role to work on other smaller projects.

 3) Next is 36-year-old Andrew Gower

a British gaming developer who, with the help of his brother, created the popular online role-playing game (RPG) Runescape. The addicting game gave players a chance to travel to a mystical land full of dragons and potions. At one point it was recorded that Runescape was the largest free massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) with over 200 million accounts. Gower earned over 650 Million dollars before leaving the company in December of 2010, and has since starts Fen Research, a video game development and consulting company.

 2) Next up are Katia Beauchamp and Hayley Barna

both 30, are the CEO's and founder of Birchbox. These brilliant bomb shells have created a business in which individuals can subscribe to a monthly shipment of premium beauty supplies for the low price of $10 a month. Birchbox has grossed over 11 million dollars and has over 400,000 subscribers. The Harvard graduates continue to make to develop their company and say there next step it the New York Stock Exchange.

 1) Finally we have 27 year old David Karp

the CEO and fonder of Tumblr.com. A blogging website that has a certain atmosphere that is unlike any other social media platform. Know for its popular use of GIF's, and hipster-esque undertones, Tumblr continues to produce quirky and unique content for its users. Karp sold the company to Yahoo for 1.1 billion dollars, however remains in control of any final decisions made by the company.

These people have proven that age is truly nothing but a number and are examples of what us young people can do with a little bit of aspiration and perspiration.
